Hoosier Women in Art: My Generation
Our annual Hoosier Women in Art exhibition is moving online for the month of May! Due to the public health crisis surrounding the novel coronavirus, we’ve decided that it would be safest for artists and guests to engage with this exhibition on our website. Learn more about the exhibit below!
Whether you’re a Baby Boomer, Millennial, or Gen Xer, this exhibition is for you! Featuring artwork in a variety of mediums, this show displays the theme of “generation” through the lens of diverse female and female-identifying artists, including topics such as families through generations, social, political, and cultural climates of different eras, and the diverse artistic styles from various decades. This could also include work created during and/or reflecting on our current climate surrounding the coronavirus and quarantine situation.

Garfield Brewery is a neighborhood brewery located at 2310 Shelby Street, just north of Garfield Park. We specialize in small, constantly rotating batches. With the warm weather quickly approaching, a favorite season brew is the Watermelon Tart Ale! This ale ca great fruity taste with a slightly sour finish, making it a refreshing and crushable beer. Our carryout hours are Wednesday through Friday 4-8 PM and Saturday through Sunday 12-8 PM.
For the past 5 years, Sofar Indy has been reimagining live events through secret, curated, intimate performances in settings all over the city. Sofar Sounds brings together talented artists from around the world (though focusing on local) and passionate music fans who want to discover up and coming talent. Our guests attend shows without knowing the names of the artists they're coming to see, but often leave having discovered a new favorite artist.
