Musical family tree & wqrt celebrate
Garfield Park art & music festival:
As we cannot host this year's Garfield Park Art & Music Festival (GPAMF) in-person, we still have
plans to celebrate it! We have partnered with Indiana non-profit Musical Family Tree,
and local radio station WQRT to celebrate our festival on the radio and online!
Listen with us, as Indy Parks employees and local musicians discuss the festival and play
songs from previous GPAMF events and favorite songs from Indiana musicians.
The show airs Thursday June 25th at 7pm; with a rebroadcast Saturday June 27th at 11am.
Hear it locally on the radio at 99.1 FM, or listen online at: https://www.wqrt.org/
About the Garfield Park
Art & Music Festival:
The Garfield Park Art & Music Festival (GPAMF) is an outdoor festival celebrating the art, music,
and culture of Indianapolis. The Festival features a handful of local musicians and bands of diverse genres performing their original music. Performers, including poets, dance groups, and more, are also featured.
Up to forty local artists working in a variety of mediums host artist booths with their fine art and
handmade wares for sale. The mission of this festival is to showcase and celebrate local talent in the art and
music scene in a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible way.
This all ages, free event is part of Indy Parks and Recreation's annual Pack the Parks day
and also features kids’ crafts and activities for family-friendly fun. Join us next year for a summer
evening filled with local music and art at the MacAllister Amphitheater.
