Encounter: A Sci-Fi and Fantasy Exhibition

Zounds! Bzzt! Woomp! Back for its seventh year at the Garfield Park Arts Center, Encounter features science fiction and fantasy themed artworks from local artists. From dragons to robots to outer space, this exhibit blends science fiction and fantasy with a unique exhibit that is out of this world!

Virtual First Friday

Join us for a virtual version of our monthly exhibition opening, and create your own GPAC First Friday experience at home! Stop by the Garfield Brewery for carryout growlers, walkies, or wine (follow @garfieldbrewery on Facebook or Instagram for updates on carryout hours). Then, follow our Instagram page for posts released between 6-8 PM featuring highlighted artist work from our August show and inspiration behind those pieces. Engage during First Friday by commenting on your favorites, following these talented artists, and contacting artists to purchase pieces and support our creative economy to show how #IndyKeepsCreating! Learn more about the #IndyKeepsCreating initiative launched by the Arts Council of Indianapolis here. The full exhibition will be up for the month of August on our website: gpacarts.org.

About Garfield Brewery

Garfield Brewery is a neighborhood brewery located at 2310 Shelby Street, just north of Garfield Park. They specialize in small, constantly rotating batches. Check out their website or social media for beer specials, patio, and carry-out hours.
